My name is Bonna Marques, Director and Founder of The Learning Spot. As a mother, teacher, coach, and lifelong learner, I have devoted my entire career to the pursuit of teaching and learning. I firmly believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and with the right combination of time, love, patience, and best practices, every individual can succeed.
Our team of highly trained and certified educators brings over 40 years of combined experience, training, and expertise to develop programs and tools that support both students and fellow educators, enhancing the learning experience for all.

Bonna Marques, MA
Director/ Founder
Bonna is a certified reading and math specialist with over 25 years of experience in public education. She began her career as an elementary school teacher before becoming a Math and Science Coach, where she spent more than 10 years training and mentoring educators. Currently, Bonna serves as the Director of The Learning Spot, a tutoring and enrichment center she founded, where she oversees the development of tailored educational programs and ensures high-quality instruction that supports both students and educators in achieving academic success.
Marie Fontanges, MS
Math Specialist (P/T)
Marie is a certified math specialist with over 9 years and counting in public education. As the Math Specialist at The Learning Spot, her duties include Supervising the Math Department, Administering the Diagnostic Assessment and developing learning plans for our students. Additionally, she works with parents and tutors to ensure that the plan is implemented.
